Hey so question for @xiagan (and others who want to chime in). When I announce the winner on the FF-Contest Twitter, it's tempting to also post a link to their story in the submission thread, so people can go read it if they wish. However, I know we also post the story on the main FF site after a set period of time, and I wonder if posting the thread version to the Twitter thread would "steal the story's thunder", so to speak.

I dunno! What do you guys think?

Please go ahead and link!!!
Despite mine and Xiagan's best efforts (i.e. lots of requests and nagging), the stories being published on the main site are lagging by about a year ::)
So do go blow our winner's trumpet at will ;D

@Lanko I loved every part of the story concept and the portrayal of your dragon, while being eaten up with personal envy. I have been struggling with a story around immeasurably large Space Dragons ever since the Monstrous Beasts month and tried again this month, still couldn't get it together. Now you have done it for me perfectly, a splendid all powerful dragon, together with a clever plot twist, and got my vote instantly. I hope one day Kalgarath appears again. Congratulations. ;D ;D

The Lady of Dragons chose my dragon. I won this  8)

What Bea said. ;)
If it's posted in a year again, that won't steal any thunder.

Oh, and congratulations, Jmack! Another well deserved win!

Wow! A year out. Why is the delay so long? Are we super behind on it or does it just have a low priority to other stories?

Just curious.

No idea :'(

Yeah it really is too bad it's so infrequent. It's something that attracts page views and more people to these forums. This is where the F-F community is, and it really should be a monthly thing. Plus it's easy content to create rather than waiting on article posts.

Anyway, not my page, not my call. But it just makes business sense.  :o

I don't think it's lack of business sense, but rather a lack of time... It's an easy way to fill in here and there, but the staff is probably pretty busy running their lives/the website. I think adding someone else to the might mods, someone endowed with superior editing powers, but whose only task is to manage the monthly contest, could be a good way to go about it?
Bea's been doing a terrific work of it here, and I'd be happy to see her doing the whole thing so that we get back over lost time‚Äďall while realising it's not my call at all....  ::)

Thanks Nora, but it really doesn't have to do with the forum or forum mods.
I have prepared the articles and the post and sent to Xia, who adds the photos and then sends to Jennie and/or Marc: they're the only ones who can post on the main site, and it's really just copy/paste from the message/mail, not that much work.

We've got 3 months' worth of articles not yet posted (I create them as they get posted).

I do believe it's 'busy life' from their part, but I have to admit being a bit annoyed :-\
