[DEC 2016] - Dragons! - Voting Thread
« on: January 03, 2017, 10:29:45 AM »
It's time to vote on December's Writing Contest: Dragons!

We got 16 entries this month, almost all in the last couple of days ;)
Thanks to all of you for participating!

Please read through all of the entries in the submission thread and place your votes for your four favourite entries in this thread. You won't be able to see the vote breakdown until the vote closes, so spread the word for others to come and vote! We do ask that if you entered, to vote for someone else.

The key for the numbers of votes is this: 1-5 entries: 1 vote, 5-10 entries: 2 votes, 11-15 entries: 3 votes, 16-19: 4 votes, 20-25: 5 votes, 26+: 6 votes

Remember that the winning entry will be posted on the main Fantasy-Faction site in a few months.

Good luck to all our entrants and thank you for taking the time to read the stories and vote! :)

Re-reading my happy ending story and being disappointed with my work. Some nice turn of phrases, but not very satisfied with the feels. There are no decent gut twists. I think I should keep to gruesome, or sad ends, regardless of the tone of the story.

Read and voted, helped by fact it was 34C yesterday and 31C so far today and I do not want to do anything but read. And Behold, Here Be Dragons. ;D

To vote only for four was extremely hard, thank you to all our writers. I enjoyed every single story and every way  in which you each featured the ultimate, supreme, unrivalled and best of mythical creatures.

Can we split the temperature? It would give each of us a nice 18C :D

I've got the Word document with the stories in my laptop, ready to read once in a while, and write down my comments for future reference (i.e. voting at the end hehe) - but I haven't started yet ::)

One week left to vote!!

I've got 6 stories left to read, and I already have four with 5 stars. I bet there are more potential 5 stars in the rest: how will I choose? :o

We have only seven voters so far. And no story has more than three votes. Haven't seen such an even field in months!

If we have 16 voters, and the spread stays randomly even, there could be a wild possibility each story got the same number of votes? How beautiful would that be ?  Everyone's a winner, baby.....  8)

Who can work out the probabilities?   8)

Not going to happen because we nearly always seem to get 17 voters  :'(

Ha, that's wild. I'm going to vote here in the next few days. It seems like I've got a full plate for the next few weeks, but I'll carve out the time!

i can't vote for my story.

well, hell -- screw it, you guys are on your own . . .
