This topic is giving me hearburn. Or is that love? Hmm.
Same. I'd love to hear what theme it was that @ScarletBea thought was too difficult - I can't think of anything that is more difficult than creating an interesting, short love story...

I'm done. Will post once I finish formatting for the forum.

Already!?!?  :o

I think I asked @xiagan to use that in January, so you might see it then ;)
(then again, it might be difficult for me but a breeze for you hehe)

Gotta agree with Raptori, such a short space is going to make it tough to expand love stories.

I think I'm going to go for some weird things... Relations between servant and master, and/or not knowing the sex of any of the party involved... Not going to get any ground breaking work, but my only experience in anything close to romance was a 4 hands exquisite cadaver short story that was a gritty sex scene...
I feel unprepared.  ;D

I actually already have my idea, a good grip of my characters and a dire situation. I like it.  :P

You can't tell a love story well in short format. A single scene, an event, a special moment, ... that's all it takes.
I know writing about love is hard but don't make it harder as it is by trying to do the impossible. ;)

But... it's a short story contest! Isn't the whole point to write a story? :D

A story that reflects people in love: they don't have to meet and fall in love during your story!

Well actually, out of the 11 contest I have participated in, I have been last only 5 times.  8)
 ;D
Everything I wrote above is pure conjecture. I don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm a perfectionist but not very good at anything. That's why I rarely finish things.

Ahh, but how many times have you submitted your story in the last day or two?  :P

hmmm
Think of Mistborn book 3: Vin and 'now-I-completely-forgot-name-of-husband-in-white-suit' are in love, working together. We see their love in action, so to say, but the whole story of how they met and got together happened in books 1 and 2.
