Yeah, I'm sorry, when I made my comment, I wasn't criticising any of the stories per se, I was mostly speaking about how my expectation for the topic didn't quite match with what I was reading, and how I'd have to change my angle. I didn't mean it as a call to defend or critic actual stories.
I haven't even read everyone yet, so I'm really not interested in critiquing.

Voted and very glad there were at least 3 votes to use. Getting harder all the time to narrow down to final choices.

Hi, beloved mods (@ScarletBea and @xiagan), I can't seem to cast my votes. I get an http "500" error: fantasy-faction.com is currently unable to handle this request.

Meanwhile, the good news is that I found three excellent stories for which to cast my votes. Just need to, erm, cast it.  :)

@Arry, any idea? I get a blank page when I try to vote.
Five people voted already so it must be something recent...

Mmmh, indeed, my vote isn't getting through either.

I started reading the stories now, but yes, the voting is messed up - it regards the poll, actually: if I do 'edit poll' I get the same error message as if we try to vote...

@Arry might be on holidays?

Worse comes to worse we can all vote via pm to you or xiagan. I doubt anyone would mistrust you guys with hand compiling votes until the issue can be resolved. Hope it doesn't get to that.

Could you not try making a second poll? Or is it all polls that have gone down?

It seems we'll have to go with this option...

Voted!

And for those of you who don't go back to the first page unless it's an accident (like me) then go now and see Scarlett's message : you can vote by sending her your choice via pm.

I hope you've already made your pick Bea, so that you don't feel too influenced. Though I guess you usually keep track of how people vote regardless hey?

Ms. Scarlet, shouldn't we wait at least until the end of the month? One or two more entries might make a mess of things on your end.

I don't get this ???
People can vote in their own time, I will keep adding the votes, then publish the result at the end of the month.

And Nora, no, I haven't read all stories yet, so I'm just collecting the Voting PMs without reading them yet, hehe - you are the only one so far

We shouldn't wait till the end. Some people won't be available to vote on the last day. Why force people to wait, since the poll never does?
Sending pms is more complex and is different to our usual practice so might as well give people all the time they need to get adjusted too.
