Found hint number 6.

@m3mnoch , @Lady_Ty

Spoiler for Hiden:
Spoiler for Hiden:

I got it right RA meant Read Along, but it was not the section, it was the title of a thread, and of course, a reference to Gentleman Bastards, and an edited post of its biggest fan  ::)

Hint number 6 is:

Spoiler for Hiden:
Best of fourteen.

Best story of 2014 was Artisan's Mask by ladygreen. Found nothing there or Best Story of 2014 voting thread, or on that specific contest threads as well.

Gemmell 2014 has nothing as well and we don't have a Best List of 2014... hm.

But if you read ladygreen's story on the main site and go to the comments section ( http://fantasy-faction.com/2014/winner-of-the-april-2014-writing-contest ), you see a post by xiagan:

*Doc is a title* [this is part 9 of the April’s Writing Contest’s Scavenger Hunt]

Yep, that's how I got hint 9 so early, I stumbled upon Doc_Chill's title while searching for other clues. But this still doesn't give hint 7, unless hints 7 and 8 do not exist and we go directly to 9.

If after that:

Spoiler for Hiden:
we jump directly to 9, then hint 9 is What is 2 5 1's 10th? (@Doctor_Chill title)

For mathematical curiosity, ten is a composite number, its proper divisors being 1, 2 and 5. Ten is the smallest noncototient, a number that cannot be expressed as the difference between any integer and the total number of coprimes below it.

Or maybe it has nothing do with math. Maybe it's a secret date. The 10th post on those threads?

Regarding clue 9
Spoiler for Hiden:
The clue is "What is 2 5 1's 10th?"
The numbers are spaced, suggesting they have meaning of their own which would be disrupted if pressed together, ie, they are not the same as "251". Also, I am pressed to think of something other than a person that would use a possessive apostrophe. It occurs to me that using a simple alphabet cipher, 251 spells "Bea", which is a shaky conclusion, but not without merit. Since Bea has not (to my knowledge) written in the contests, I thought it might be her posts or her likes.

The 10th thing Bea liked was a post by Jmack on Jane Austen & Goblins:
http://fantasy-faction.com/forum/work-to-be-critiqued/goblins-jane-austen-just-for-fun/msg96616/#msg96616

The 10th like Bea received was for a post about the forum's Karma System:
"But... but... now it almost looks like the bad F site :'(
I only like one F site, the F-F one, of course :D
Eek, now there's a big red like button next to each thread! Please can we keep them just for posts (if we must really have it)?"

Bea's 10th posts appear unaltered and are as follows:
Counting backward, her 10th post was about butterflies:
"but... but... Schmetterling is also a nice word, all fluttery :-\
I mean, if you're looking at it, Butterfly? butter+fly :o
(in portuguese it's Borboleta)"

Counting from her joining the forum:
"I'm reading 'The long earth', by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter. I wanted to like it, but I just can't get into it... So, they're 2 english authors, but it's such an american book, it's putting me off.
I'll finish it, but I don't think I will bother with the next volume  :-\
Back to fantasy after this one... much better, hehe"

If this is a dead-end, my apologies.

Puzzle solved!

Spoiler for Hiden:
Haha, I also was thinking if 2 5 1 meant Bea! Maybe it's her 10th topic or post...

http://fantasy-faction.com/forum/non-fantasy-books/laughing-about-books/msg80863/#msg80863

Hm, Comedy is the theme? Or do we write a story based on the cover/titles from the link she provides in her original post? http://www.boredpanda.com/funny-book-titles-covers/

Nope, it was in her 10th original post

Fortuna smiles on you (10)

http://fantasy-faction.com/forum/fantasy-movies-video-games/bbcs-atlantis/msg74205/#msg74205

Atlantis? Greek, Roman, Persian?

Or literally, Fortuna? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortuna

Fortuna (Latin: Fort?na, equivalent to the Greek goddess Tyche) was the goddess of fortune and personification of luck in Roman religion.

So, lucky characters? A story with a theme of luck?

No, Fortuna is a member! It was created by one of the mods for the RPGs, you just go to her posts and it's there!!!
I had to rely on you for all the hints for the previous steps, but the minute I read this one, I knew the end :D

Congrats Sherlanko love the avatar Thanks for hint I was so frustrated.

Spoiler for Hiden:
Do you realise Overlord did 2  readalong's  of Locke Lamora?  and I found the wrong one and read ALL the posts twice Grr

Did you eventually find this one?

I have struggled through, but got stuck on 2 and had to go to spoilers

Spoiler for Hiden:
horse piss and 251 because numbers always throw me and yet it was so simple once explained

Thanks for setting that up @xiagan and @ScarletBea it was fun and compelling and must have taken a while to set up. Thanks for keeping the April 1 tradition going.  It could have been very hard unless you had been around a while, so glad you gave a PM option.
