[Apr 2015] - Plot twists - Voting Thread
« on: May 01, 2015, 06:41:03 PM »
It's finally time to vote on April's Writing Contest: Plot Twists (maybe with Vamipres, Werewolves, Girls and/or Goats)

And we have 17 entries again! :)
Now if we get the same amount of voters (23 for Rogues so far) again, that'd be great.
Thanks for taking part, all of you. It's a great feeling to decide on a theme and get people write stories about it. (Next month's theme is about what a great guy I am and why people should give me lots of money.  ;D)

Please read through all of the entries in the submission thread and place your votes for your four favorite entries in this thread. You won't be able to see the vote breakdown until the vote closes, so spread the word for others to come and vote! We do ask that if you entered, to vote for someone else.

The key for the numbers of votes is this: 1-5 entries: 1 vote, 5-10 entries: 2 votes, 11-15 entries: 3 votes, 16-19: 4 votes, 20+: 5 votes

Remember that the winning entry will be posted on the main Fantasy-Faction site in a few months.

Good luck to all our entrants and thank you for taking the time to read the stories and vote! :)

@xiagan any chance you could put both of our usernames there now that @Saurus has her own account? Feels a bit weird to only have my name there when we're both here now... What better way to prove you're a great guy who deserves to be given money?  :)

In other words, us giving you money is a fairy tale as that is the new subject! ;D

@xiagan, are just pulling my rope with "Good Goat"? Or was it a true slip of the fingers?  ;)

It'd be a pretty understandable mistake, you have to admit...  :P

No idea how that could've happened.  ;D Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to locate the edit button...

Oh, wait. Your title was Good Goat. Look here:
Here is my April story. 1,500 words exactly, not counting the title, which is:

GOOD DOG

Disclaimer: There are no
goats

And now it's called 'Goat Dog' in the list, which creates this really weird animal in my brain ;D

Voted for my 3 favourites. In fourth for me two stories came equally and I could not make up my mind, but because they were very well written but did not manage to surprise me, I decided to offer detailed critiques when this comes out. Of all those stories the one that surprised me the most is @Raptori 's. You guys rock, it's the second time I really enjoy your submission, and the second time it's heavily twisted, too.

That's great, I was worried it wouldn't be enough of a twist to fit the theme to be honest! Glad you enjoyed it again, we shall try to keep it up next month. :D

Done my votes - it was hard to choose between some of them  :o  Lots of very interesting ideas played with
"Logic, my dear Zoe, merely enables you to be wrong with authority." The Doctor - Wheel in Space

"It's not destiny!  It's a crazy scientist with a giant snake!" Sinbad - For Whom the Egg Shatters

Wanting to find again the picture of a goat riding on the back of a dog I had seen, in answer to your post @ScarletBae , I found the picture that must have originated @Jmack 's story of escapes on a bike...
