I’m loving this

I really like Jawad his not  another cynical thief like a lot of other characters in this type of stories thinking of Royce from the Riyria Revelations

I really enjoying the interaction between Jawad and Salah

Had a smile on my face when Jawad walked back to the estate of Al-badawi

Actually this should do till Ch.7.

Like the writing style. A nice blend of adventure, cynicism and mild humor. Jawad as a likeable rascal is well written.

As to gripes, use of modern swear words (esp f***) is mildly jarring. Feels off to the setting of novel.

Also though events are happening briskly, felt a bit disappointed that overall macro plots hasn't even been broached till now. Lack of overall coverage of who's what's and why's keeps the story just floating and lacking an anchor.

Liking it till now and excited to see how the dominoes fall.
