Well, those tricksey publishers, Gollancz, have been in touch to let us know they’ve been telling us pokeys for the past year or so…
What they’ve told us is that Miles Cameron, author of the Traitor Son Cycle, is a pen name for the critically acclaimed author of historical fiction, Christian Cameron, best-known for his on-going historical fiction series Tyrant.
Gollancz told us: “Throughout 2013, Christian has been informing inquisitive fans, with a tongue-in-cheek wink, that the author of The Red Knight, Miles Cameron, is his fantasy-loving cousin.”
This announcement will do no harm to market the second, highly anticipated book in this successful fantasy series, The Fell Sword (due in 30 January 2014).

Huh. Funnily enough, was just today reading this rumour over on A Bitter Draft.
I remember reading reviews from Nick and Doug (two F-F staff members) and both said Miles didn’t write like a debut author – I guess we know why now ;D
